MEET OUR TEAM

Elise Durandisse

Community Manager

Elise (pronounced "Eh Lee Zay") serves as the CIC Community Manager. Elise's incredible story begins with his own journey to the US in 2008 from his home country of Haiti.  Elise has been active in supporting immigrant and refugee communities in San Diego for nearly a decade. He loves sports and he is also a singer and a musician. 

Jacob Alonzo

Membership Director

Jacob moved to San Diego from the Inland Empire 4 years ago and currently lives in Golden Hill. His background is in substance abuse counseling and he work in the addiction treatment industry, primarily with marketing and outreach. He is passionate about helping people succeed and enjoys giving his time to the community. While he is not working Jacob is usually playing music or hangin' with his wonderful wife of 10 years, Sabrina, and amazing 11 year old daughter, Abby.

Lee Barken

Co-Founder

Lee Barken, CPA, LEED-AP, is the Chief Community Officer at CollectiveSun, LLC, a crowdfunding and lending platform for mission driven organizations, social ventures and nonprofits. He has broad industry experience in renewable energy project finance, environmental commodities consulting and public policy analysis. Lee writes and speaks on the topics of renewable energy project finance, social ventures, and community financing. Lee plays an active role on the board of directors of CleanTECH San Diego, The San Diego Venture Group, and Grid Alternatives.

BH Kim

Co-Founder

Formerly with the San Diego Foundation, BH convened the original founding team of Impact Without Borders. He is now spearheading efforts to raise our next round of funding and is an avid paddle boarder and a certified yoga instructor. BH’s background is in the social sector including non-profit management, government, and philanthropy.  ​
